Klubnacht

Paris-based producer UFO95 developed a clear aesthetic early on: functional, mechanical rhythms reminiscent of industrial architecture. Following releases on Tresor, among others, his album A Brutalist Dystopian Society came out a year ago on MORD, the second part of which is coming in February. Meanwhile over the past few weeks, UFO95, who plays exclusively live, has been developing and testing out his new set. Across two hours, it condenses material from both parts of the album into a continuous dramatic arc – to be heard at Berghain for this edition of Klubnacht. Fantastic Man is not only a fantastic magazine but also the alias of Mic Newman, a DJ/producer and label owner from Melbourne's club scene. His sound combines hypnotic grooves with a Balearic lightness. After releases on Mule Musiq, Love on the Rocks and his own label Superconscious, he founded a second imprint in 2024, Axis of People, which sharpens the focus on more-straightforward club tracks.
