Christian AB is known for his high-precision productions on labels such as Timeless, as well as for his album The Nu Life, released on Ryan Elliott’s imprint Faith Beat. Tonight, for the first time, he’ll be translating his love for obscure 90s tech house, bleep techno and acid to the big sound system. His sets are rooted in a rigorous vinyl aesthetic: hypnotic basslines, dryly programmed drum machine loops and a keen sense for subtle builds in tension. There’s also a debut for Shaleen: Berlin-based DJ, resident of the We Are Not Alone series and the mastermind behind the Spellbound label. Her all-vinyl sets combine the raw, energetic drive of 90s techno with modern, hypnotic layers. At Panorama Bar, Bali-based DJ Dita presents an eclectic mix of breakbeats, trance-inspired elements and the driving optimism of early 90s progressive house. Mexican DJ MNTY, hailing from the influential Club Yu Yu in Mexico City, expands the spectrum with dense, atmospherically charged house textures.
