LOVE ON THE ROCKS

For this edition, Love On The Rocks is bringing two DJs from the Amsterdam scene – Kamma and Masalo – whose musical approach perfectly aligns with PARAMIDA’s ethos. Kamma, with an extensive knowledge of jazz and soul history thanks to her family heritage, presents a selection prioritizing organic warmth over mechanical harshness. Masalo, meanwhile, has made a name for himself through productions on labels like Safe Trip, crafting an eclectic, often percussive house style. On their jointly curated compilation Brighter Days, released in 2023 on Rush Hour, they bridge the gap between gospel-infused house gems and forgotten disco derivatives. Also joining them is Chez Damier, a Chicago house legend. As a co-founder of the pioneering label Prescription, he defined a sound in the early to mid-90s defined by a spiritual minimalism and depth. His sets and productions remain a shining example of sonic integrity to this day.
