Since its founding in 2020, the Colombian label TraTraTrax – run by DJ Lomalinda, Verraco and Nyksan – has become a leading force in avant-garde Latin American club music. For their first party at Berghain and Panorama Bar, they’ve invited a diverse lineup of guests who bridge the gap between Bogotá and Berlin. Laura Solarte, aka Bitter Babe blends high-energy dembow grooves with industrial textures and fast-paced tech-house beats. As a pioneer of the Venezuelan Changa Tuki sound, which closely intertwined with the Colombian scene, DJ Babatr brings a style all his own: extremely fast, syncopated rhythms, rave stabs and lo-fi percussion that connects the dots among hardcore, techno and urban ghetto-tech offshoots. The duo Dengue Dengue Dengue, originally from Peru and closely associated with the label, focuses on the fusion of digital cumbia and psychedelic dub. Scion Versions is a Berlin-based duo from the classic Hardwax school: Pete Kuschnereit (aka Substance, DJ Pete) and René Löwe (Vainqueur) are known for their minimalist, precisely modulated dub dechno featuring repetitive reverb tails, deep frequencies and cool reductionism. MMM consists of Erik Wiegand (Errorsmith) and Michael Fiedler (Berghain resident Fiedel). Since the late 90s, they have been breaking up the repetitive rigidity of techno on select records with hyper-funky, unconventional arrangements. Their style is defined by humorous minimalism, razor-sharp edits and a dry, extremely danceable peak-time drive.
